Course Objective
This course will teach the fundamentals of pistol shooting, and is aimed at the new shooter who wants to establish a firm foundation as they become a more competent with their pistol. We will spend the entirety of the course on the firing line shooting drills and working to expose flaws in your shooting so that you can identify what you need to work on, and how to work on those issues during your own practice.

- Recoil Management
- Shooting doubles (rapid followup shots)
- Target transitions
- Equipment selection and configuration for your specific goals
- Useful drills to incorporate into your training
Prerequisites
- The ability to safely and confidently handle your pistol
Equipment Requirements
- Range-appropriate clothing: Shoes must be closed-toe, and shirts must not be low-cut
- Appropriate eye and ear protection
- A functional semiautomatic pistol in a conventional centerfire caliber (e.g. 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, etc.)
- Sufficient ammunition for your pistol
- Note: All student-provided firearms and ammunition may inspected by the instructor prior to use.
